Joovy gloo in the large size. It’s great and folds up small enough to fit in my carry on.

For travel - the Joovy Gloo. It’s like a little tent. My son switched to it right when he turned two (couldn’t stretch out in the PnP anymore) and he LOVES it. It zips up from the outside, so they’re also contained which I think is key, and it’s small and lightweight. Highly, highly recommend

Crib - the reason there’s a height limit on cribs is so your kid doesn’t climb/fall out. But nothing magical happens when they go from 34.75 inches to 35 inches. Know your kid. If he’s compliant and not a climber, I wouldn’t let the height limit deter me, he still fits!

Son is only 18 months but apparently over the pack 'n' play height limit of 35 inches (tall family genes). We have an upcoming trip scheduled. What travel sleep environment do you all use for your tall little ones? Also, we need to convert his crib (also with a height limit of 35 inches) into a toddler bed and I'm kind of terrified. Any tips for that transition also appreciated.
