This is way too much work and doesn't sound like it tastes good. Who wants to dip their veggies in cream cheese?

DH's friend is having a barbecue. His friend is grilling some meat. He asked people to bring things. He asked DH to bring an appetizer.

DH is thinking of bringing couscous. This is a side IMO not an appetizer.

Any suggestions? He will buy the item instead of cooking.
