The first time you weigh yourself, step on the scale, then off, then back on. Some scales need to be woken up to work right. I imagine the first time you are not waking up the scale. The second time it is working right.

This thread is hilarious, especially the one about gas converting to liquid inside the body. Even if that did happen, the gas and the liquid would weigh the same.

Is OP peeing again before the second weigh in? Could materials in her body be converting from gas to liquid during that hour, so making her heavier? I don't know if that's really how digestion/bowels work, though.

Yeah, I weigh myself naked every morning and out of curiousity have redone it again in an hour if I've gone back to nap and I come out lighter the second time. Is the person showering in between and have wet hair the second time? If it's not clothes, water from shower, or additional liquid intake, it doesn't make sense to me. You should be lighter, if anything, not heavier.

OP said they aren't consuming anything in between weigh ins.

Yeah but many ppl don’t count water or coffee as consuming anything since they aren’t eating and water is calorie free. So it seemed worth mentioning. I have weighed myself at the same interval, OP, w/o any liquids or solids, and I am always 1-2 lbs less.

NP, I weigh in naked. It's not clothes for me, but really about a pound difference here.

No idea. I don't believe I've ever weighed my self in consecutive hours though.

I've been doing Noom, which has you log your weight first thing every morning. So as soon as I wake up I go to the bathroom then weigh myself and usually lay back in bed for another hour or so. I've noticed that if I weigh myself only an hour or so later after a bowel movement and without having consumed any additional liquids or foods, I will be at least a whole pound heavier than the very first weigh in. Today it was nearly two pounds. Any idea what's going on? It's obviously not a big deal and I know weight fluctuates, I'm just perplexed as to how, without fail, I can weigh that much more not that much later in the day even after emptying myself and not consuming anything additional.
