People don't know the definition of top 30, adding in schools like Northeastern and Oberlin. Those are good schools, but not "elite" ones.

northeastern - DC is incredibly happy and passed on acceptances from several higher ranked schools to attend. The secret sauce is working up in beantown

How is it socially if you're not at the hyper-progressive end of the political spectrum? My kid leans Dem but is very moderate and probably not the active protester type.

Have seen a lot of threads about unhappy kids and / or schools alums don’t recommend? Any selective college experiences where the kids are happy with the journey not just the outcome?
