Watched both episodes and hated it. Just not funny and most of the characters were not likeable.

I loved Markie Post in the original and had a crush on Harry! I don't think I'll watch the reboot.

I liked it. But then again I don’t like streaming so I’m always looking for network shows. I want something other than crime or medical dramas. This fits the bill.

Same. The chemistry on the original was great. From what I've seen on commercials the new show looks like it is trying really hard to be "a wacky courtroom" you know?

I didn't know the original series was on for nine seasons. That's quite a run.

I think the only other living original cast member is Moll

Sadly, this. I hadn't thought of Night Court in decades and was happy to see there was going to be a reboot. But it was just painful, or at least the part I watched.

Sad that so many of the original cast died (and not that old!) and I like that John Larroquete is back.

Nostalgia is a powerful feeling.

I watched the second of the two episodes and the last few minutes of the first one -- there was a nice scene with just Larroquette talking "to" the late Harry in Harry's old chambers.

Interestingly, a couple of publications like Variety gave it positive reviews and noted that viewers need to give it a couple of episodes. Reviewers got the first six episodes, apparently, and a couple said that it takes a few episodes to get going but is funny and does refresh the old show. Dan (Larroquette) being a total lecher about women is gone, for instance, can't play that any more. I'll watch some more episodes and see how it goes. Larroquette is a great comic actor and I liked the way Dan was struggling with changing from being a prosecutor to being a defense attorney!

Oh I'll definitely watch the pilot then just to see that scene....thanks for pointing it out!

From what I read John Larroquette had no interest in doing a reboot but Melissa Rauch over a period of months to years talked him into it as the show was developed, so I'd be surprised if he would return and it was complete trash. He was clear he didn't the money....he was also clear he wasn't going to play the character for another nine years either.

It's going to suck and there is no way to replicate it. They are trying to the same for Magnum OI for the 3rd time now.
