THROW IT OUT!

I was prepared to repeat my mother’s maxim of “When in doubt, throw it out”, but there’s no doubt here. Even food that’s been cooked shouldn’t be left at room temperature more than two hours. Poultry and cream sauces are prone to spoiling, and with raw chicken you’re starting out with something laden with bacteria. Food poisoning is about the toxins produced by bacteria. Bo matter how much you cook it, even if you kill all the bacteria, the toxins they produced all day are still there to make you sick.

I would toss it. (For about 80% of these posts I say eat it.)

I'm usually pretty lax with these things but I would throw out chicken that sat in room temp all day. Sorry OP.

I put raw chicken in the crockpot this morning and covered it with cream of chicken soup. (Don’t judge.) Turned crockpot on low. Went to work. Came home 10 hours later to find crockpot was not plugged in. Put uncooked chicken in plastic container in fridge and ordered pizza. Should I throw chicken out or can I cook it tomorrow?
