Chef Geoff's was awesome this year. They had the $40 dinner menu and you could pick basically anything on the menu for each of the three courses. They also offered to swap out the appetizer or dessert for a glass of wine.

I am really not a fan of RW. I like mostly vegetarian food and I find their menus are so lacking in this department.

I never understood the hype either. If anything I feel like I pay more for the same amt of food than if I went on a random day in March.

Enjoyed Brasserie Libertine on Prospect for their restaurant week brunch.

Bistro Bis was awesome. Huge selection of their regular food. Lunch would be an even better deal.

Cranes, which I love normally and had a fantastic meal from their first year, I really disliked this year. Portions were tiny. Hated the Wagyu cheek that was the entree — stringy and dry to me. Dessert was fantastic.

Can anyone share a recommendation or good RW experience so far this week. Still deciding where to go.

We have long loved Persimmon in Bethesda, but it looks like they are not participating in RW this year. (I will note that they offer "sunset dining" daily.)

Filomena in Georgetown has some great Italian! Please tell me why, once they reopened after the worst of the pandemic, they do not offer RW takeout. Tiny space and tables are way too close together - reminds me of midtown Manhattan restaurant closeness.
