Ooh - tough one, OP. I will say, when Irene Cara died last year I listened to her music again. Talk about feeling nostalgic!

Music from all the movies was really good and might rate better than the movies themselves.

Making hick towns popular: Footloose

I saw Footloose and Dirty Dancing in the theater - was a bit too young for Flashdance and I don't think I saw that entire film until years later. It's a different film from the other two, which are basically coming of age movies.
