South Arlington - about 20%, but w/ the remaining families about half to neighborhood school and half to option schools.

It's pretty low in AU Park in elementary but then gets to about 50/50 by high school.

CCMD. Our block is 60% private. The cul de sac behind us is 100% private (10 kids between 3 families). Looking at our neighborhood, I'd estimate that 60-75% of kids are in private school.

Maybe 2-3% private (religious) in Burke. I know one family does catholic, and one sends to an evangelical church school. Everyone else is FCPS. Bus stops are packed in the morning.

Interesting, a neighborhood in Jamestown is around 30-35% private.

Around 10-20% in Great Falls towards Mclean. I see more buses stopped once you get out to more spaced out neighborhoods in Great Falls however. DC’s middle school class from Cooper sent around 20-25% to private/boarding.

50%+ for our block in Alexandria City, representing about 5 private schools. It was probably closer to 25-30% before the pandemic. Lots of families left ACPS and changed plans due to the extended and prolonged school closures, and post-pandemic problems.

My close to DC Montgomery County neighborhood is mostly public. Obviously there are many private school kids and some that started in public and left, but of course the percentage is higher for public school.

Up in Baltimore in Mt Washington. Pretty much 100%, though done young families have moved in and suggested they will try local public initially.

What are the private to public ratios in your respective area? I’ve noticed my coworkers who live in PG county seem to disproportionately send more children to private, most likely due to the underserved public school system, curious if the frequency varies depending on local public schools or socioeconomic background (or both).
