Yes, the school may go into lockdown if there is a danger in the nearby community. It has happened before.

Didn’t they go into lockdown a few months ago when there was the carjacking at Town Center? Maybe something similar.

Not sure I understand the question. Parents are not informed of every drill. When the school goes on lock down, information comes from our students more quickly than it comes from the administration because we all have mobile phones and are connected all the time. I suspect information will come from the administration within the hour. The fact that nothing is in the local media suggests the rumor above about the police looking for suspects is likely.
