Paying more than something is worth, like a $6 soda at a hotel, even though I can afford it (I also don’t drink soda but my kids get it on vacation). I really dislike paying such a markup for things so I’ll go to convenience stores to buy things instead.

I do my own yard work, including mowing and spring/fall clean up and mulching. I enjoy every aspect of it.

A used luxury car is not cheap. This is an area where you’re slightly more frugal.

Cars, clothes. Car needs to work and clothes need to be comfortable. Both those can be find in cheaply.

So many things. Hotels. Restaurants. Clothes. Cars. Cheap furniture.

But we vacation often (cheaply) and we have an awesome beach house and boat. And we don’t cheap out on mental health care and educational services for our kids.
