Lol. I was consulting at age 22 and I was fine and learned on the job, but looking back I was just very young. Traveling was new, I was naive about certain things and I was just definitely not fully cooked. I am very sympathetic to my younger self and what she took on, but it made me who I am!

Being cognitively and emotionally mature is different from being financially able to take care of yourself. It's tough out here for people starting their careers. I am perfectly willing to let my kids make their own decisions and provide financial support for those decisions at the same time. Launching can take time.

Let's not forget that age isn't the only big factor for maturity. From my experience, some of my friends and cousins didn't mature until mid 30's but some were wise souls by birth.

I noticed a very distinct jump in maturity in men at the age of 24. When I was 21, 22, I had no patience for men who were 20-23, but found myself attracted to men who were 24 and up. They had a maturity I appreciated, a confidence based in knowledge rather than bravado.

Some people may not mature (define mature) until 40 but it doesn't mean they can't live life fully until then, living life helps you mature, otherwise all parents will keep homeschooling until 25.

Ok, so basically it's not exactly 25. It's more of a range, which honestly I just assumed was the average age and not necessarily the exact age for everybody.

Add 10 years for the severely ADHD people.

I speak from family experience. The neurotypical people? Sure, whatever you say.
