Great thread. The plastic waste is exactly why I don't do meal delivery services. Especially the freezer packs. I will follow up on these suggestions to see if any are available here in Denver. We can't keep pumping single use plastic into our kids' environment.

I'll take the opportunity to also plug refilling large shampoo and lotion bottles indefinitely at a local zero-waste store.

we really like vegetable and butcher; it’s not a meal kit, but instead meals in recyclable containers, and they will pick up the cooler bags and cold pack when they do another drop off.

Following, this is such a pain point for me too.

Green Chef does small paper bags.

Just found this thread trying to get more information on a meal delivery service. I found Healthy Fresh Meals and have loved their service so far, no subscriptions and the portions are decent. I haven't tried vegetable and butcher yet, but they seem to be more plant based.

Bumping for more information about meal delivery services. I’m looking for healthy meals and keep getting ads for Thistle on FB. Anyone use them? The PP mentioned vegetable and butcher and their site looks great. Any other recommendations?

We use Cook Unity and they ship in an insulated tote bag that they will pick back up and recycle. The food is great too. https://support.cookunity.com/en_us/sustainability-recycling-S1S9QHiQF

Not a meal prep but for meal delivery we love Vegetable and Butcher. Local company that delivers meal in compostable containers (which they will pick up and compost for you). They also have a reusable cooler for delivery.
