I have been told the bigger meets such as Metros or various HS champs have USA swim sanctioned officials and the coaches generally go through some sort of process to register the YSA swim kids with their number (we always have to provide to coach before championship meets). So best times can qualify for sectionals, futures, whatever.

It will go into meet mobile and also any online database you use to look kids up provided the HS has your swimmer’s USA swimming number.

no. This is standard practice among all high school teams.

Ours emails them and many are on meet mobile.

Do any of the HS teams actual post or share the dual meet results? My kid's doesn't and it just seems odd.

There are a few things that are legal to do in high school but not in USA swimming. The main one is that a backstroke flip turn in high school can be done with kicking and gliding between turning over and flipping, while in USA swim the turning motion has to be continuous. Another difference is that in high school, hands can be stacked on top of each other when touching in fly and breast, and it still counts as a two hand touch. In USA swimming, the hands have to be separated. Those are the major ones that I can remember. So it is possible to swim a race that is legal for the high school meet, but would be a DQ for USA swim, and the USA swim officials observe the meet to make sure those times don’t count for USA swim.

So looking at PVS site I see that championship meets are listed for the high school leagues. Some same that "Not an observed PVS meet" and others have "No USA disqualifications" or "USA disqualifications" -- what does this mean?
