Another vote for Uppababy. They make great products. Look at their jogger, the Ridge. Absolutely love it.

I like the UP vista and Cruz for day to day, but much preferred by Bob (double and single) for long walks/jogs.

We've had the vista for 5 years and have used it for all combinations of 3 kids. Nothing but great things to say about it. Have used it for commuting, grocery runs (the basket is enormous) and long long walks on asphalt, sidewalks ( incl very rough ones) and dirt. No problems maneuvering or handling. It's still in great shape somehow. I don't have experience with any of the others you're considering but I'd recommend the vista in a heartbeat. The only thing I'd flag is the rumble seat is only good until about age 2.5, when they're bigger (it's a height issue to ensure their feet don't drag or get caught) they have to sit in the top seat. The age spread of your kids will dictate whether that's a problem for you. (It has not been for us.)

We have the vista and the donkey. Have had the vista for two+ years. Uppababy has amazing customer service and I much prefer this stroller to bugaboo, but wanted a side by side double not a tandem. With both, to be honest, I don’t see them doing well in the scenarios you’re looking for. If it was road or sidewalk miles, no issues, but off smoother surfaces I don’t think either is a winner.

I second the suggestion of a jogging stroller given the miles you are talking about putting on it and the fact that some of it is on trails. I'd just get two strollers, honestly. But for long hauls, especially on uneven terrain, a good jogging stroller like a Bob or Thule will feel so much easier to push and will hold up a million times better on trails because it's designed for it -- bigger wheels, more balanced front to back, etc.

Then just get a good stroller for the car/around town. There are a million options. I'd go to Buy Buy Baby and just try out a bunch, because preferences can vary based on height, whether you want your kid to face you or out (or option of both), whether you prefer a true double stroller or a ride on board, etc. I had people tell me they loved X stroller or another but when I actually tried it, I didn't like it at all. There's a ton of variety and it's something you use a lot so it's best to just try a bunch and see what feels right.

Of all the nice strollers out there, my personal favorite by far is the Stokke Xplory. It's the one that can sit a child the highest, and the seat can face forward and back. The wheels are comfortable, it has a tight turnaround, and you can even bring it up or down stairs by folding the back wheels. We brought ours to Europe and Asia and used it extensively in the DC metro and up and down the Smithsonian museums' steps.

Silver Cross is best in term of actual material quality.

Just FYI, my DS prefers the Uppababy Vista because it allows him to sit more upright than in a jogging stroller (or at least than in the Thule jogging stroller we have).

Honestly, I would get a bugaboo donkey. It can be single or double. Since it is side by side, it looks huge but it really isn’t. In mono mode it is
the same size as the vista and it is easier to maneuver. Plus, with the vista the newborn has to be on the bottom. It is great for pushing long distances. But I don’t really like it as my car stroller so if that is your plan, I might consider others (but probably not the vista),

PP here: Forgot to mention that the Vista V2 is very sturdy. You won't have to worry about it tipping over, which I've heard can be an issue on some 3-wheeled models.

We have the Uppababy Vista V2. It handles well on a variety of terrain and we haven't had a problem with it in the 9 months we have had it. We use it daily, although we have not put nearly as many miles on it as you intend to. Some features I like are the large basket underneath and the fact that the bassinet (when in the stand, sold separately) doubles as an additional safe sleep space. There are also a lot of thoughtful details to make baby more comfortable (sunshades, mesh, rain shield, etc), as well as a ton of accessories (sold separately). It also just looks really nice compared to other strollers. Biggest downside is that it is expensive. Additionally, some of the features are not intuitive, but once you figure them out it's not a problem. It's also not the lightest or most compact stroller out there, though I am still able to lift it and fit it in the back of our car. If you will be driving a lot of places, I could see that getting annoying, but not an issue if you are mostly using it around the neighborhood. Haven't tried it in double-mode yet (still on first kid), but I'm told mobility take a hit. Overall it is a good stroller and I think it was worth the expense.

I have a City Select double that has lasted through 5 kids and traveled through different countries. Still in excellent condition.

Does anyone have experiene with the durability of SilverCross Dune, Nuna Demi Grow, Uppababy Vista V2 or Bugaboo Fox 3? We are looking for a full-size stroller, preferably a double, that could handle 8-15mi most days and survive 2-3 children. Most of the miles are paved but there are some dirt trails as well. Also, any usability issues ex: front heavy?
