Do you have any connection at all to any foreign culture? As someone married to an immigrant who came as a child, cultural differences can really blindside you, even when the immigrant has spent a lot of time living in American culture like my husband, but much more so if the person has not. And this can relate to big major issues, like how to discipline kids, where in-laws will live as they age, political opinions, etc. If you have a connection to a foreign culture already, that may be easier to bridge. But I won’t sugar coat it. It can be very hard if you are going in totally blind.

Why don't you date Asian and Latina women? A lot of them don't seem to mind short guys

At 30, I would just keep at it locally. Lots of people meet in their early 30s and are settled down with a kid by 35. No need for extraordinary measures at your age, especially as a man.

Sure, why not? Woman here -- I'm married to a 5'6 guy and i'm 5'3. I don't see why it should be a big deal.

You're only 30. I'd give it time! Women in their 30s eventually start throwing themselves at single men. You are about to enter prime dating times. If you are 36 and single, come back to us

I’m a 30 year old man who wants to get married and settle down but I’ve had zero luck on dating apps. I own a home, am fit, have outdoor hobbies, high paying top 1% income, but am very short at 5’5 and I suspect this is the reason I have no luck on apps. Occasionally I will match with a woman I have zero attraction to. I don’t want to be single forever and want a wife who is somewhat attractive (not looking for a model), would going on one of those international dating sites be worth it? I have dated women before but my last gf I met in college and we broke up 3 years ago (just getting back in to dating) and I have no good way to meet women in person these days. It’s way harder than I thought it would be, to be honest.
