If you wait a bit the 2024 Chevy Trax will be all new and MSRP around 24k

I have a Buick Encore GX. All wheel drive, sunroof, hands free back gate, plenty of cargo space, and loaded with safety features. Fuel economy is satisfactory. It's under 30k last year. The only thing I don't like is the handling and the ride. I use it for short trips.

I'm looking at the Hyndai Kona and Mazda CX30 right now. Looking for something with lots of safety features that has some availability in the next few months and is under $30,000. The Honda HRV was also a contender but seems to be more expensive. I'm small, so I'm looking for something that's a little higher up than a sedan and has a seat that raises fairly high.
