Potomac is closer than Congessional and is a K-12.

I think MSM clearly would be better than public for K-3; beyond 3rd grade it would depend a lot on the child.

If one really wants Langley/Potomac/Congressional, then the admission competition is not as difficult at K than at later grades, but all 3 have competitive admissions and get more applicants than there are spaces..

We are transitioning our toddler from an au pair over the last couple years to preschool this fall at MSM. We'll have to see how it goes there after a year but I'd like to have some sense of options for the future as a backup plan.

What are the best options for another preschool if he doesn't do well at MSM?

We're zoned for Franklin Sherman/Longfellow/Mclean public school K-12. Does it make sense to stay at MSM or similar school for K+?

What are the best options for private schools nearby if we don't go public? We're only 5 minutes away from Langley School so that's on the radar.
