Anything that lets you watch your home inside or out from and ap is hackable so think about the risks of that. Also in some jurisdictions the video is shared with law enforcement without your specific concent.

Be aware there are way more false alarms than real ones. A friend of mine had a magnet fall off her fridge and it registered as a “ glass break” she was huddled in bed with her kids in a panic until the Police
showed up. If the wind blows hard it can signal a “ glass break” too. Most jurisdictions charge for false police responses too after the first one. They are such a waste of police time.

I'm interested in the Ring alarm system that alerts 911 if the fire alarm goes off. It saved my friend's house from burning down when they were away from home. Are there other companies with similar features? Which one would you recommend? It would also be nice if the security system could contact 911 if glass is broken, but I'm not sure how that would work; I assume you need something like an Alexa on every floor that is always listening. We already have a Utec lock that lets me know when people come and go.

I am hoping to get it installed in less than a month. Is that a realistic timeline?
