I enjoy a couple pics from trips. I like seeing what people are up to and also like seeing travel pics.

I have to admit that watching Bling Ring on how people robbed Paris Hilton's house based on social media postings made me feel more tentative about posting photos. But I only post on Facebook.

I know this bothers some and makes them jealous. But they can block me if they don't want to see it.

I love seeing photos from places I'll never make it to. So fun.

Jealous? No. But posting travel photos on social media can make you a mockery.

Wow. You sound mean. I don't mock my friends.

You are receiving yourself. We all do that. But I will plaster on a smile when I see you in the car pool line and chuckle under my breath about your trip to the Amalfi Coast or USVI or wherever. And I’m not alone.

You should try getting a life

We don’t live near anyone anymore, so social media is how we stay in touch. None of my albums are open to the public. Plus I like looking at new places and getting tips/ideas. I also have a lot of artist friends who take beautiful photos, so those are nice to look at.

Oh boy.

So, it sounds like you don't like it, but others do. Why not just scroll on by?

I don’t ever post when out of town for safety reasons.

I will make one post when we return if I have some good pictures if I have some good pictures to share. Max of about 5 pictures.

I hate it when people post daily from their trips. I don’t bother looking at more than a handful of pictures unless they’re really unusual even when people post once after their return.

No, that is horribly gauche and a lot of what’s wrong with the travel world today. Please don’t.

Do you post your travel photos on social media? Do you enjoy seeing travel pictures from other friends?
