Is the other site Camp Letts? Here's their menu: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UayGsvBKQr1N61Mcze7o05ymM0v8pzAi/view

Here's the MCPS website on Outdoor Ed: https://www2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/schools/outdoored/programs/residential/

The Camp Letts menu is much better.

They really stress reducing food waste. At the end of every meal, uneaten food from everyone’s plates goes into a compost bin and it gets weighed. They announce how many pounds of waste there was. When I accompanied my child, they praised everyone the first night because it was an incredibly small amount. The second night, they scolded us because it was dramatically higher. No kidding, because we had a bunch of chicken bones in the trash the second night, while everything on our plates the first night was edible.

Anyway, they’re going to encourage kids to take modest portions of food and only get seconds if they really are still hungry.

What age goes here? Is that supposed to be enough food a kid older than 8? One drumstick for dinner?

Seems like standard lunchroom food. Doesn’t look like nearly enough food for my child’s appetite, and I think any kid with dietary restrictions will be pretty hungry even with the alternative offerings.

Sounds like it’s standard lunchroom food.

According to my very picky 6th grader, the food was terrible and nothing like they said it would be before the went.
