Ideally when everyone is testing negative. I know it seems like a pain but if the nanny gets sick you're going to have to figure out child care then, so why not figure it out for a few extra days now and avoid her getting sick?

Did your nanny have COVID too? We all got COVID (including our nanny) and did 7 or 8 days, not 10. It's a blur now though since it was almost eight months ago. I would be considerate of how your nanny is feeling if you ask her back before ten days. "Larla, no pressure at all...just wondering when you think you'll be able to come back. We want you feeling good, so take the time you need." Something like that.

I would wait until you’re all testing negative on RATs, or at the very least until the baby is testing negative. I understand this is not the CDC’s requirement, but I am assuming you don’t want to get your nanny sick.

This was not a case of Covid that was just like a mild cold. We all got pretty sick and still have some symptoms but fevers are long gone.

We all have Covid. Kids are 5 and 7 months. According to CDC we are out of quarantine 1/9 and then should continue to mask around others. Our 5 year old will go back to school Tuesday (technically she is out of quarantine today and has been asymptomatic for a few days). Do you think it’s appropriate to have the nanny coming Tuesday? DH and I will mask or stay in our room/office to work. The baby of course cannot mask. The nanny could also mask.
