In a rational society, this “no cash bail” experiment would have ended yesterday when this man murdered a 3 year old baby over an EBT card.

“Court records show he had failed to show up for a D.C. court hearing in a weapons case in October, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest.”

It’s a good point. DC needs to bear some responsibility for the murder of that baby.

dc reduces the penalty for violent crime even more. Had he done this in dc given his age he would be eligible for release in 15 years

Very strong likelihood that the state of Virgina is never going to let him see the outside of a prison cell. Considering that he killed a baby, it’s also very possible that any sentence would be in effect a death penalty.
