I am not sure about Troops rejecting applications but we are new to this. It sounds like the other kids in the Den choose not to tell the two kids where they were going.
You could probably report this to the local Council because it goes against what Scouting is supposed to be.
There is info missing but naming the Troop pretty much outs your post to anyone who knows that Troop.
They didn't reject an application because they told us not to bother applying. Yes it was obviously intentional and cruel the way this was done. I'm ok with outing the troop. I find their behavior unbecoming. I'd consider going to Council on it, but like I said, no proof other than the back handed way it was done.
