Says the Marylander going 45mph in the left lane.

The speed limit on the parkway is 40 mph.

Those damn MD drivers! Speeding everywhere!

Not northbound past Spout Run. Then it’s up to 50.

Looks like we found our slow poke left lane driver!

According to the Park Police, they are installing cameras to assist in accident investigations. However, I am sure there are dual purposes, e.g. surveillance, etc.

“ Roadways closed due to serious vehicle collisions often cause severe traffic delays and frustration to motorists who are either trapped on a roadway or forced to divert onto unfamiliar routes. To address this issue, the United States Park Police are implementing new technology called photogrammetry, which will enable us to open roadways as quickly as possible without sacrificing the quality of the investigation. This technology will allow us to document serious vehicle collisions in a more thorough and timely manner. Photogrammetry is a software program that uses a calibrated digital camera and numbered markers to create three-dimensional scale diagrams.”

Makes sense, there's a crash on that curve almost every time it rains.

The cameras only get you at 12 over. There are so many who drive 75 and it's incredibly dangerous on that road.

I drive too fast on the GW, and even still I’m frequently passed by people doing 80-100+ mph.

That was me. Sorry. Didn’t get a chance to eat lunch at work.

The food at the hospital is pretty bland.

Which, by the way, is speeding for much of the length of the GW Parkway.

You mean, automated speed enforcement?

Hopefully not. Slow drivers keep right. That is the sign they need to put up all over this whole area.
