At that point I stopped taking Mounjaro: doc said my BMI was low enough that the guidelines said I was no longer eligible.
That made me very nervous, but so far, so good: I have gained only about a pound back, which honestly seems miraculous, given Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. I mean, I am eating. I feel like I am eating a lot: I am definitely not depriving myself.
I guess we will just see what happens! I would love to believe that Mounjaro caused an enduring metabolic reset. But I know six weeks with no significant regaining of weight does not guarantee things will stay that way.

I lost 55 pounds since July and stopped 2 weeks ago. So far, my appetite is still decreased and I'm still losing (slowly).
I am hoping to lose another 10 pounds but I'm having a hard time getting the prescription filled right now so I'm either going to go on Wegovy (covered by insurance) or just go the old fashioned way with eat less/move more.
For me, the biggest hurdle for weight loss was the ideal that I had over 50 pounds to lose. It was such a daunting number. Now that I only have 5 to lose before I am not technically overweight.....I mentally feel like I can do that!
That’s great! What has your experience been like on the drug? Was it Mounjaro?

How are your side effects? My dd started on 5mg and was nauseous all the time so she stopped. She just re-started 2.5 yesterday but is taking Zofran every 6 hours. She seems to be tolerating it better plus she is eating ( she had no appetite at all on 5mg which scared her). She exercises a lot but has insulin resistance and other conditions that seemed to make her hungry all the time.
