Toto toilets are ugly (yes I know they perform well but they’re still ugly) and washers aren’t going to go over well in an American market. Not trying to be negative but both are true statements.

I put a Toto toilet and a duravit tub in the same bathroom, and never noticed color difference. For washlet, I recommend duravit SensoWash f.Integrated with a duravit toilet, it’s the best looking washlet on the market. We have used it for more than a year now and are most satisfied with it.

Toto Washlet goes on top of a standard toilet, so you can add it later, as long as you have the power hookup for it in place.

Thanks for the advice. Ferguson carries both brands so I will check in person. I may also have everything Duravit and then add Toto washbasin if compatible.

Take your measurements to a showroom and pick the sink and toilet so you can see the whites. Tile the shower.
It’s not a plus to have an architect in Europe, so don’t mention that when you sell unless it’s to another European.

I can’t answer all your questions, but I would say most people here in this area consider a tiled shower floor to be nicer than a shower tray type floor. Typically, a tiled floor is more expensive.

I’m not familiar with Duravit. Can you find the model at Lowe’s or another local store that also has Toto toilets? If so, I’d ask if you could take the top of the Toto over to the Duravit area to compare. Also, note that Koehler makes sinks, shower trays, and toilets, and that would be a safer bet if you are concerned about matching the whites.

The design and any structural changes are reviewed by local engineer and GC. The base design was actually by me and has already been approved by my contractor. Its not rocket science, just reconfiguring the space.. what couldn’t a contractor do or tweak?

I am remodeling a small basement bathroom and I am considering using a Duravit sink and possibly shower plate, with a Toto toilet, possibly a washlet.
The bathroom will be my only other full bathroom, beside the main one. It will be part of a nice, architect-redesigned level within a DC row house in a nice area, for context. My architect lives in Europe though, so I am trying to help since she may not be familiar with Toto (who knows), with the taste of people here and the typical skills of local contractors.
