This. I have some new folks starting this week. We typically start the day at 8:15am. I’ve asked them to come at 9:15am so that I’m set up with my own emails and onboarding for them.

I would just ask what time they want you there on the first day. After a long weekend/break like this, they may not want you there until later so they can answer their emails etc

I would definitely ask although you should have asked this earlier since now you're assuming your boss will be checking her e-mail over the holiday weekend.

If you don't hear anything I would plan on showing up at 8:00 a.m. Yes, it sucks that you might end up having to wait around for people to show up but you don't want to be late on your first day.

I will add that I started at a new agency and was not provided with a start time, I planned on 8:30am and that worked out fine

I would not guess the time, because if they begin at 8:30am, you already look like a slacker by suggesting 9am.

Bring your DL and SS card. Expect they'll give you health insurance stuff to fill out. You can take that home to fill out and bring back if it's not online. Today or tomorrow: Send an email saying

I know next Tue is my start date, but I don't know when is my start time and what things should I bring. It is a 10 people small company, and I have my new boss personal & business contact (email and phone). She mentioned before it is flexible hours in person, but I thought someone will feel me in with detail information ny now.

What documemt do I have to bring in normally for my first job? They ran a background check on me previously. Does HR/payroll need me to bring in social security card or other docs, except driver license? And, should I follow up to ask what time should I be there next week? The last time we talked was late November, and we both have signed offer letter.
