This. We got the evenflo chase plus which converts plus is very lightweight for travel. We used to have a heavy duty convertible seat plus a lightweight seat for travel, and now this seat is all we need and should last until she’s ready for a backless booster.

Probably, but they will be safer in a 5pt harness until they can sit up straight and never fall asleep in the car. We switched to a seat at that age that could be used as a high beck booster with a 5pt harness, HBB with seatbelt, and eventually just a booster.

Have you moved the crotch buckle to the 2nd setting? I don't know what seat you have, but make sure you move it to the 2nd setting so it isn't crushing that area.

I have the straps to the loosest setting and they are still so tight, like I feel like I’m crushing his balls when I go to fasten it!

We had a Graco high back booster that had 5 point harness and you can use it with a seatbelt. DS used it for many years.

If it's within the limit of seat, technically yes but it's not a good idea at that age- kids don't have the ability to sit perfectly still without the harness until more like 5 or 6 or sometimes 7. There are plenty of seats that provide a harness then convert to HBB or regular booster- we like the Graco tranzitions for something fairly simple and inexpensive.

Also get one of the seats that converts from 5 point to booster. That’s what we have. Don’t plan to buy another seat….

No. My 45 pound 7 year old is still in a 5 point and will be until she’s closer to 50 pounds at a minimum. Safety is priority

Buy a booster that converts from harnessed to seat belt. We liked the Evenflo Maestro.

We have a nuna car seat and the straps don’t seem long enough anymore so he winds up pulling them off. The nuna feels so tight and annoying now. Even though boosters say 40 pounds can I start now? I don’t want to spend another 300$ on a harness seat for four pounds.
