Subject: dyslexia only testing
FWIW, my DC was not diagnosed with dyslexia but did have other language weaknesses that impacted reading and spelling and writing (both physical and organizational). DC was accepted by Siena. The diagnosis and assessment were reviewed to ensure the kind of language instruction given by Sienne was appropriate to my kid’s needs.

Assume if your kid is behind in reading they have dyslexia and immediately get a tutor or buy an OG program like All About Reading.

We did dyslexia testing only since the neuropsych was inconclusive, so we followed up and did testing just to look for dyslexia.
It still cost $3500 and we had to wait 3 months (they got us in “early” because it only took about 2-3 hrs just for the dyslexia testing).

A lot of people will say tk get testing but I think it was a waste of money. You are concerned about your child’s reading kldvel, so you wait forever for an appointment and spend money so that someone can tell you- your kid is behind in reading and needs help in reading. Now you have spent money AND time AND still have to find a tutor/program you do at home.

Subject: dyslexia only testing
Has anyone gotten dyslexia testing only (perhaps with educational testing but not a full neuro pscyh)? Ideally if we could have it done quickly that would be helpful thanks!
