We go to NYC. We ice skate, grab our favorite lox bagel, eat Japanese cheesecake, ride the carousel, sometimes we attend Mass, grab some macarons on the way home and call it a night.

Growing up, we always went for a drive around the nearby neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights. Then we would read the Christmas story from the bible and open a gift or two from family members. When we got older, we'd sometimes attend church service. These days we end up spending every Christmas Eve either packing or driving.

We're really flexible since we always travel for the holidays. We might cook where we're staying, might go to a restaurant, might get invited to a friend's home for dinner or a party.

Some of us go to mass while the rest of us drink wine and cook, then we all meet up for an appetizer only party and much wine. It’s quite merry and delightful.
