This is good advice if you can swing it. It doesn’t need to be you or your spouse but it is best if care is mostly a consistent and warm adult. -also a two physician family

+1. Well said. I had a big job when my first was a baby and our nanny was (and is) part of the family even though I’ve long since leaned out.

Several of my physician colleagues send their kids to La Petit in Brookland. It has longer hours than most daycares and they seem satisfied with it.

How early and how late? You are both physicians with long hours, are they unpredictable so they can hold you over longer? You need a nanny or an au pair.

La Petite at Washington Hospital Center isn't great, but does have the best hours. (well, 630 to 630)

Husband and I are both physicians and are moving to DC in the Fall. Daughter will be 2 in July. Looking for schools that have earlier drop off and later pick-up times, since we both work long hours and have to be at the hospital fairly early. Thank you for any help!
