Anyway, OP, I feel like you have to keep trying the apps even though they’re silly. You’re 30? What age range are you looking at? If it’s all women 30 and under, can you try setting your age filters a little higher, maybe 30-35? I feel like you’d be more likely to find a woman who is more looking for stability and to settle down vs. a 20-something who’s more into playing the field and having a good time a little. You sound like a good guy who has a good head on his shoulders - all it takes is one good match!

OP: before you do something dumb like get married, read the threads here for six months. Find out how women feel about their husbands, how they cheat, how they gaslight, how they connive among themselves to extract all the money from their husband in a divorce.

I live in DC and am often frustrated by how many matches I have who end up living in the suburbs.

You definitely don’t have to move. Can’t help you with the rest. What I can tell you is that many women who put themselves forward as having an interesting life watch Netflix at home more often that not.

A lot of the women who are boring don’t want boring men. They want someone as a source of entertainment. There might be a boring woman out there but if she has the pick between a boring guy and an exciting guy she’ll pick the latter.

They’re definitely not in the suburbs, unfortunately. You have to suck it up and go on bride capture excursions into the cities.

It worked for my DH, but his buddies who never left are now old and permanently single. All the single women are either somebody’s daughter or left for greener pastures and won’t come back until they’re married themselves!

I’m not against religion and have thought about faking it but I don’t know if I could maintain the facade long term.

I’m a 30 year old man and want to settle down and start a family, I have a good job and already own a home in the suburbs. There are no women in my social circle or at work so I’m forced to use apps. I would say the worst things about me aside from not being “hot” (I do stay in shape though) are that I’m boring by a lot of people’s standards, I’m busy with my career in tech which also has few eligible women, and I don’t have anything really interesting about me. I have very basic interests like cooking, working out, and reading. I do not go out at all, never liked the bar or club scene, am not really into music, dancing, or the arts. Also I have never been out of the country besides one brief trip to France when I was younger. I’m just your average nerdy tech geek. I really don’t want to move to a city just to have an easier time meeting women, I like my quiet stable life in the suburbs.

Where are all the boring single people?
