Not really. Electric lighting is a pretty mature technology as this point.

This. But open any vanities if you have pipes on outside walls. Turn off water to the outside.

Thermostat to 60 rather than 65.

A light or two on timers is a decent idea. Also, if you know your neighbors let them all know you’ll be gone.

Have someone take your trash to the curb and pull it back in.

This is going to be our first time ever going on vacation bringing dog with us, and therefore leaving the house empty. These are the things we are planning on doing before leaving. Anything I am missing?
-Set outdoor lights to automatic timer
-Turn off water to house and drain faucets
-Put hot water heater in pilot mode
-Set thermostat to 65
