If you want to there to be a cancer memorial, then you should start advocating for one, if you haven't already.

We should definitely have more Covid memorials than Holocaust memorials.

Actually that’s not true. 11 million people died in the Holocaust, compared to 6 million worldwide for Covid. In the US 1 million have died of Covid. Fairfax county had around 1650 deaths. Certainly sad, but I don’t see the point of a memorial.

Meanwhile, Fairfax County Board of Supervisor Chair Jeff McKay is proposing to spend taxpayer money on building a COVID-19 memorial which “remains a high priority for the county” according to the Fairfax County Park Authority.
