I think the concern with anesthetics and fertility is relevant for people exposed on a chronic basis occupationally. Having surgery does not prevent future childbearing. I had knee surgery at 21 and 2 healthy kids later on. Incidentally, I was exposed to anesthetic gases throughout my first trimester due to an equipment error at work, and the baby ended up fine.

I had some floating cartilage taken out of my knee and my wife subsequently had three kids taken out of her uterus. I think I had it relatively easy.

That's how we all ended up on this forum. We had knee surgery and now we can't get pregnant.

This isn’t your forum dude.

It's possible that corticosteroids used for inflammation and opioids used for pain might have a temporary effect on your fertility but I doubt there is a case where there was a long-term issue as a result of knee surgery.

Do you have a brain? Find it.

And next time you have a medical question do not post on social media and ask randos. Go to an actual doctor who is licensed and went to medical school.

Huh? You need a refresher in birds and bees?

I'm not sure if this is a dumb question or not. I think I may need knee surgery eventually. Is it possible for that to impact male fertility? I wasn't sure if any of the drugs they use would make me infertile or something.
