Gift card to a local play area? Wrap it in LAYERS of boxes with different coloured tissue paper at each level. Or enclose in an elaborate pop-up card so they have something to play with day of.

My SIL has asked for gifts of experience/time for my niece/nephew (both toddlers). I’ve always liked to wrap a toy for all the nieces/nephews to open on Christmas, so I’m stumped on this one! Also, we’re working with a budget ($30ish per kid- we have a lot of nieces/nephews!). They live about 90 minutes away and we have 2 toddlers ourselves, so we see them regularly but the gift of “time” is not exactly easy. I miss the days when people just accepted gifts and said thank you.
