Ume plum paste or a mini ume vinegar? Look at the eden foods site for ideas

Gomasio is more of a condiment than an ingredient but is yummy.

Curry leaves are hard to find and a good cooks’ gift

My kids are young adults and they appreciate anything spicy from super hot hot sauce to hot honey. Wander thru Trader Joe’s or an ethnic grocery store for unusual condiments and spices.

A jar of chili crisp if he likes some heat, but hasn’t discovered this condiment yet. My teens put it in everything it seems.

This year, one is getting egg salmon skins in the stocking. The other is getting a jar of preserved lemon. They loved the spices or tinned fishes from years past.

I’d get a spice blend at penzeys, or a new hot sauce world market will have some cool things too.

My kid loves to cook, and he loves to try new, interesting ingredients.

I'd love to put a little packet of something in his stocking, maybe something to use in Asian food? Something interesting, and tasty, and a little hard to get?

Ideas?
