Yes, that is a great one and it's a good time of year with the follow ups. She will link to the original post which gives you a nice fun and not toxic rabbit hole!

Reddit has lots of great distractions that won’t make you lose faith in humanity! Try these subreddits:

MadeMeSmile
WholesomeMemes
AnimalsBeingBros
AnimalsBeingDerps
OddlySatisfying

…and so on. They have EarthPorn and CozyPlaces and lots of other “healthy” stuff if you know where to look.

New York Times games - spelling bee, crossword, wordle, etc. It kills more of my day than I'd like to admit.

Learn a foreign language on Duolingo. It’s a fun distraction and you’ll feel productive.

I need to distract myself from a thing right now. If I don’t have a list of distractions, I’m going to sit around going down social media rabbit holes about the thing and it will make me sad (think “ex’s wedding that lots of people I know are attending” though it’s not exactly that). I’ve been trying to do mostly offline stuff (watching movies, knitting, baking) but I also need some things to look at/do online do when I’m on my phone or computer, I can do those things instead of hopping on Facebook/Instagram.

Any suggestions? I’ve been sort of trying to plan a vacation as a distraction but it’s months away and I’m running out of stuff to look at. I’m shopped out due to holiday shopping. How else can I distract myself? Just need some ideas to get me through the next week.
