UVA "early" notification is mid February. Guess it's better than March.

It's usually been the last Friday in January - so I would guess 1/27. If you follow UMD on social media, they have the #NowATerp Tour where they hand deliver admissions letters to a few students the week before decisions are released. https://omc.umd.edu/work/nowaterp/

It is early compared to the regular decision deadline.

I have a friend who applied and got in last year. It was posted on the last Fri. in Jan. at 4:45 p.m. in the portal. (so it was Jan 28, 2022).

Pace yourself.

No. It means that there will be radio silence before that day.

You will only start hearing on or after that day. Firm deadline. They do not report early. Acceptances and rejections go out the same day. It is two batch process. Mostly emails.

Letters will roll in within a week. (unless there is bad weather etc).
