Why not ask the business if they tendered the package to UPS. I have a small business and ship packages frequently. UPS and FedEx are usually very good about getting an initial scan where as USPS isn’t and a package can travel across the country with only a delivery scan. If it’s UPS I’d assume they haven’t been given it yet. Contact the business.

I have found that with some vendors, that timeline is the time from shipped, not the time from ordered. There is additional handling time, for example, as other PPs noted.

That is probably the case for you - once it ships, it will be there in three days.

Sometimes, I have seen places bump me up to overnight so it still gets there on the third day even if it mailed late.

All that to say, I'd give it to Friday before following up.

I’ve had this happen too. Also had it sit for a few days and not arrive as I would have hoped - much like the pp, I think this can be “handling” time where it doesn’t ship out the day it is purchased even if a label has been created.

That happened to me. The shipper can create the label and not actually ship it immediately. Mine did show movement finally and arrived. The 3 day shipping time means it will be shipped Priority, but there's usually a "handling" time before it actually leaves their hands.

I doubt it's lost, usually this just means the item has not actually left the business you bought it from yet. They printed the label, maybe even packaged the box, but it hasn't been picked up by UPS yet.

It's 3 days from whenever the package starts traveling and most businesses say in their fine print that shipping times don't include processing times at their facility.

The only way you will get it tomorrow is if the business actually is shipping it overnight (you can check in the UPS tracking info what type of label was created), and it leaves today.

In my experience, it’s lost. This has happened to me twice in past few months, specifically at UPS 4200 Wisconsin. I don’t go there anymore.

I ordered something Monday morning, paid for the 3-day shipping option (options were 3, 2, or next), and by Monday evening received an email confirming the item had shipped. It’s been stuck on “label created” since. I would assume “3-day” would be T, W, Th, and I would receive the package in Th. Wouldn’t you? Is it possible I’ll still receive this tomorrow?

I paid $25 for the cheapest shipping option (it’s a large item), but was still promised 3-day. I hate to make a fuss with the company because it’s a small business. Any ideas what I can expect?
