I phoned the admissions office at about 1:20 pm Eastern and was told applicants will receive an update in their admissions portals on the 21st.

Yes, my DC got the same note. The 18th is a Saturday; would they notify people over the weekend? I was guessing Monday the 19th.

My kid who applied EA got an email from Mac's admissions within the past 1-2 days asking if they had accepted any other college via early decision - our inference is that Mac is making its final determinations and hoping to clear off a few applicants.

Anyone know when Macalester EA decisions will be released? I know they have said 'before 12/21' but suspecting it may be before?
