Subject: AAP Parent refer grade 3
The FCPS verbiage for why kids need AAP is that their "needs cannot be met in a gen ed classroom." At this point, your kid presumably has spent half of a year in a gen ed classroom. Explain in the referral how his needs aren't being met this year and how he would benefit from AAP. If he's principal placed into a LLIV, explain how he's thriving with the AAP curriculum.

Nnat is not really heavily weighed - no need for retake that.
The cogat is definitely high enough. Really what you need is for the teacher or AART to rate your child highly on GBRS.
If the WISC is from GMU, definitely include it in your parent referral.

My AART said after Grade 2 NNAT doesmt have any more significance they will consider only CoGAT. If not in pool then Parent referral with good samples must work in case GBRS is great.

This is really confusing. The window for retakes has passed. If your kid did the retake of the NNAT, then it’s done. Just parent refer by the 15th.

What is the NNAT? CoGAT sub scores? Need more information before we can respond.
