I’ve lived here 8 years. I have never given nor received holiday cards or gifts from the neighbors. I don’t know all of their names and prefer to keep a little distance.

Leave your poor neighbors alone. That's a gift.

I'm giving my neighbors an anonymous Christmas card wishing them a year ahead of being better at street/parallel parking.

Groceries as you know is really high in prices now.

We exchange with a couple of close by neighbors who we don’t see often, but are friendly with. We pick up small box of candy, $10 bottle of wine, or plate of cookies. Nothing too elaborate, but thoughtful.

We are close to 3 of our immediate neighbors. We make them fudge or cookies and then drop off with a card. We don’t really hang out socially but we help each other with dogs being let out if need be, getting mail while on vacation etc….

I don’t even send cards. Just a quick “HAPPY HOLIDAYS” if I see them outside.

No gifts. We're nice neighbors without any gifts - help each other out in inclement weather, if going out of town, etc.

Just cards. Sometimes I do little bags with candy and an ornament.

Omg no please just stop. It’s not about the money - but this season is just death by a thousand cuts of “to-dos.” Make it stop.

I really don't want to do gifts on top of everything else that's going on this month. I hope my neighbors don't drop off gifts for us so that we feel obligated to do the same.
