Today’s Ward 2 is not your parent’s Ward 2. Lots of new condos and the new money is more liberal than the old money. The current CM won her primary by a whisker and has done very little since.
Believing that Ward 2 will go from Jack Evans to Elissa Silverman within just a few years is divorced from reality.

Where does Silverman live? Ward 2?
Pinto is the daughter of a hedge fun executive and seems to have stronger than expected ties to the business community. Pinto is pretty moderate for DC and the W2 downtown interests would financially back her against a Silverman challenge.
Unfortunately I think Silverman is shut out.
