I'm 1980 and feel more Gen x than anything but at the same time don't feel connected to those born in the 60's and experiencing the 80's as 20 somethings.

Regardless of generation, I knew once y2k passed that at about 2030, people would be classified as old because they were born in the last century.
So really that's our label, we're just waiting for GenZ and Alpha to give it to us.

I was born in '79 and never felt I was a Gen Xer, until more recently. I'm not a Millennial. So I guess I'm a Gen Xer now, even though I wasn't in my 20s.

1964. I feel neither, as is common with my friends group. I tend to identify as "the 80's was my favorite decade music/movies/clothing" as it covered my HS and college and right out of college years. 80-82. 82-86. and single post college years of going out.

I’m one of four kids. All of us born between 1980-1989 and this tracks for us.

I'm early 80s and don't really identify with either group. I wan't old enough to experience the 80s as a teen or 20 something which seems to be pretty formative for gen x, but I wasn't a digital native which seems like a defining thing for at least the younger millennials

George Masnick, of behalf of Harvard puts Generation X in the time frame of 1965 to 1984, Millennials in the time frame of 1986- 2004, and Boomers in the time frame of 1945-1964.

I know lots of people born in the early 80s prefer to identify as millennial, and "generations" has become a part of all areas of popular culture..
