Incorrect. You can be paid at 15, but there’s an extra form for it. Lifeguarding is a big one for 15 yr olds.
OP - it sounds like you are looking for something fancier, but students can work at Butler’s Orchard (farm age exception) beginning at 14.

Hi,
My son who is in 9th grade and will be 15 this April is looking for volunteer/paid internships in the Montgomery county area particularly in research/health care fields or any other fields where there is some learning opportunity. We are looking at red cross, 4 H youth programs. Does anyone know anything about these organizations or recommend anything else? which will help him develop leadership skills and help him grow.
