+1, my thoughts exactly.

I’m reading this now and I’m just ready for it to end.

I gave up on this one too. The voice of the teenage girl felt off to me, and I found myself not feeling invested. I loved The Family Fang, though.

The audiobook has an “author’s note” after the book.

It may indeed, but the physical book does not. I’m a different poster and curious about the note. The NPR interview alludes something, but I’m curious if the authors note had more to it.

Just finished the book and really liked it.

I've loved Wilson's previous books (especially his book of short stories!), but this one was a huge disappointment. I usually enjoy coming of age stories, but this one was boring.

The Kindle version doesn’t have the author’s note. What does it say?!

I loved it!! Very different than Nothing to See Here, but I found it more thought-provoking and also more touching.

I also appreciated the author's note. For some reason it didn't square at all with my vague idea of him, which somehow makes his books even more interesting to me, though sad. The thought of him feeling so isolated and lonely is just heartbreaking. What a talent!!

I really liked it but I frequently read Young Adult so maybe it was more my alley. The author’s note was fascinating! I would love to have dinner with him.

The name of the author is Kevin Wilson, so they have nothing to do with one another.

But that just happens to be another book that I hated. I actually did not finish it.

Huge disappointment for me (judging from the reviews, I think I'm in the minority though). I just loved Nothing To See Here and The Family Fang, so I was excited to get this one. Boring, boring, boring. I did enjoy the author's note, though. Anyone else read this?
