This. If you get sick every time it’s probably something with the spices/injections. I highly doubt every chicken you’ve eaten was undercooked.

Yes they're saturated with cheap oils and god knows what else. Never buy them.

We get one about once a week. Yes I know they’re not great for you. I don’t care. Super easy and tasty. We only do Costco now.

Maybe it's the rotisserie itself - cooked in its own fat and grease. Maybe your stomach is sensitive to that overload.

Can you eat fried chicken ok?

I've never experienced this, ever. And I have laser beam focus on especially undercooked poultry. it grosses me out so I really look to make sure that the poultry I eat is fully cooked.

FWIW when I buy rotisserie chicken, which is about 3 times a year, it's always from Costco.

No and we eat Rotisserie Chicken from Whole Foods at least once a week.

I've never had a problem with it. But I notice that sometimes it seems undercooked.

No, but I tried it from three different stores and didn't like any of them. Safeway, Whole Foods and Costco. All three were over-salted, as if salt was the only seasoning the stores had on hand to use.

This has never happened to me and I have some immune issues that affect my gut so often I’m impacted with food sensitivities. that being said, maybe there’s something on the seasoning that’s irritating you?

So why do people love it so much? or do they just have heartier digestive systems?

Yes , don’t buy it. Get a split 1/2 chicken, put rotisserie seasoning on it and air fry it. Much better , use a meat thermometer in different places

I've gotten sick (always diarrhea and sometimes also throwing up) from grocery store rotisserie chicken a number of times in the past decade. The first time, I thought it was a fluke, so tried again a month later and it happened again. I gave it up and then was served it at a relative's house a couple years later, same thing. Then last night I had dinner at a friend's house. I ended up sick and she mentioned that the chicken in the salad that I had thought was homemade was actually grocery store rotisserie. There have been a couple other assorted times over the last ten years where I either didn't know beforehand or I took a chance, and boom, sick.

The chickens have been from different stores. Only one of the times that I know of did anyone else get sick.

Also every time I've been pregnant, I've had major chicken aversion, not just to the pre-cooked grocery stuff, but any type; the second time that was what tipped me off! When not pregnant I can eat home roasted chicken fine. Fried chicken also fine. Nice restaurant chicken also a-okay.

So what gives? What's in the grocery store rotisserie that I can't handle? Just sits out too long?
