What happened on January 6 is far more dangerous than isolated incidents on the metro.

I just look at numbers. And FBI agents have accounted for 50% of shootings on metro this year. Given how few FBI agents there are, that’s a pretty disproportionate figure.

Not to that level, but the number of fair evasions and the lack of any response is also concerning

So on Wednesday night a Federal officer shoots someone dead at Metro Center at rush hour after some kind of unspecified altercation. Then this morning, a little more than 12 hours later, a woman, a child and a teenager are shot at the Benning Road metro after a fight, and it looks like the teenager may die.

I’ve never encountered events like this and like probably most DCUM readers I don’t go near the Benning Road metro stop. But I’ve been seeing an increasing density of disturbed/drunk/drugged people on the metro. They may also stand out more because there are fewer commuters thanks to WFH
